AAPG ACE ’15: TGS to introduce new interface for geological products and services

DENVER, Colorado -- TGS has announced the pending launch of a new web-based portal, which will give users access to the industry’s largest volume of geoscience data.

The portal, which will be launched in December, will allow for easier consumption and integration of data though its map-driven functionality.

While incomplete, low quality and inaccessible data may have plagued the industry, this new portal will make a difference by adding the flexibility of data delivery through the cloud via e-commerce, direct-to-desktop or straight to third-party applications.

The portal will feature a streamlined connection to data that has been fully verified to ensure its accuracy and integrity. It will also be linked to a number of TGS value-added products so that E&P interests, in any given area, can be evaluated and the optimized data accessed with the click of a button.

Users will be able to access the industry’s leading digital well database referenced to a validated well header for the best well system accuracy available. In addition, users will be able to utilize Longbow for well performance and permit data as well as integrated and interpretation products, such as Basin Temperature Models, Post Well Analyses, and Facies Map Browser projects.
