Managing Oilfield Water Use: Perspectives from a Large Permian Basin Mineral Owner
A part of the University of Texas System, University Lands manages both the surface and mineral rights to 2.1 million acres in the oil-rich Permian Basin of West Texas. Revenue from the development of these lands provides funding for more than twenty education and health institutions across both The University of Texas System and The Texas A&M University System.
