Det Norske confirms hydrocarbons at Askja exploration well in the North Sea
OSLO -- Det norske has, as partner in PL 272 (25% interest), by pressure measurements confirmed the presence of hydrocarbons in exploration well 30/11-9 S on the Askja prospect. Drilling operations are ongoing and final results are not yet available.
Statoil is the operator of PL 272 with a 50% interest. Partners are Det norske (25%) and Svenska Petroleum (25%).
