Bashneft and Emerson sign memorandum of cooperation

MOSCOW, Russia -- Bashneft and Emerson Process Management have signed a long-term memorandum of cooperation on the development of systems for comprehensive automation of industrial facilities.

In accordance with the memorandum, cooperation with Emerson will include designing and manufacturing automated process control systems, valves, instrumentation and controls and supplying them to Bashneft’s enterprises and facilities, engineering, testing, adjusting and commissioning equipment, providing maintenance services for the supplied equipment during its operation and advising Bashneft’s specialists.

Alexander Korsik, Bashneft’s President, emphasized, "Development of cooperation with Emerson is aimed at improving the quality of automation system designs, reducing the lead time for the delivery of equipment and cutting costs related to commissioning and operating new and renovated production facilities. We believe that this may be achieved through direct product supplies and involvement of specialists from Emerson at all stages of project implementation."
