Canadian thru-tubing specialist, DSI, joins ALS Oil & Gas

CALGARY — Canadian well intervention specialist, DSI Thru-Tubing Inc., has agreed to become part of new international oilfield services company, ALS Oil & Gas.

Established in 2010, DSI Thru-Tubing Inc. is headquartered in Calgary, Canada, with operations throughout North America in specialized, premium thru-tubing intervention services. ALS Oil & Gas was formed in 2013 through the acquisition of oil and gas services firm, Reservoir Group. Since then, ALS Oil & Gas has strengthened its offering with other acquisitions in the sector, including the U.S. well monitoring fiber optic brand, BMP Enterprises LLC.

DSI was built around a vision of a leading company of thru-tubing experts, focused on a responsive customer service and a culture of innovation. DSI offers thru-tubing tools and specializes in the milling of FRAC plugs and the associated bespoke tools. DSI offers drillable FRAC plugs, ball seat systems, motors, mills and cleanout accessories. From design through to production, service and support, customer service delivered by a highly qualified team of experts has become synonymous with the DSI brand.

DSI's leading service capability adds to the ALS Oil & Gas, Specialist Well Services division’s technical and product expertise in the thru-tubing offering. DSI will become part of existing ALS brand, Wellvention. This will xpand the geographic reach of DSI, as Wellvention already has a strong footprint in other key oil and gas hubs globally; the UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Additionally, it will allow DSI to offer the current range of Wellvention specialist thru-tubing tools to the North American marketplace.
