Saint-Gobain Seals opens new Houston office
GARDEN GROVE, California -- Saint-Gobain Seals has announced the opening of its new technical and sales office in Houston, with a district sales manager and application engineer on staff, which will reinforce the support to local oil and gas customers.
Demand to understand the evolving application conditions of this market continues to grow and Saint-Gobain Seals has taken steps to ensure partnerships with their customers remain strong to meet emerging oil and gas market requirements.
Christophe Valdenaire, global market manager - Oil & Gas, said, “The opening of our Houston office is an important step forward in our efforts to shorten the development time of bespoke sealing solutions that fulfill the increasing sealing performance requirements in this industry. As part of our co-design business strategy, we leverage our many years of engineering expertise and R&D application testing capabilities, including high pressure/high temperature (30kpsi/392°F compliant with API6A – PR2), fugitive emissions compliant with ISO 15848-1 and cryogenic platform to meet the challenging and critical needs of LNG production. As a result, our seals are designed and validated to provide confidence to our customers over the lifetime of the product.”
The main contacts at the Houston office will be Anthony Stefanik and Jacob Lester.
Anthony Stefanik, district sales manager responsible for Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas, has more than 12 years of outside sales and project management experience with isolation and control valves in the oil and gas industry, selling and managing projects with major end-users, distributors, and EPCs in North and South America. His primary responsibility is the development of cooperative relationships with OEM valve and equipment manufacturers whose products are geared toward high pressure and high temperature, cryogenic, and low fugitive emission applications.
Jacob Lester, applications engineer, has eight years of experience in aerospace, and most recently has worked with design and qualification for down-hole applications, specializing in electrical connectors and production equipment. He is experienced with the challenges involved in sealing solutions and material degradation in demanding oil and gas applications. His role in the new Houston office will be to not only support local oil and gas customers but also those in the Gulf States, primarily devoted to providing seal design solutions and installation and qualification testing support.
