Frank's International names Alex Cestero as Senior V.P., General Counsel and Secretary
HOUSTON -- Frank's International has announced that Alex Cestero has been appointed as the company's Senior V.P., General Counsel and Secretary.
Cestero most recently served as V.P., Co-General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Weatherford International plc. He comes to Frank's having spent his entire career serving in the oil and gas industry in both public company and private law firm settings.
Cestero worked at the international law firms of Vinson and Elkins, as well as Bracewell & Giuliani, before spending several years in the legal department of international drilling contractor Pride International (now part of Ensco plc) in areas of increasing responsibility, including as Deputy General Counsel.
Prior to joining Weatherford in 2013, Cestero was Senior V.P., General Counsel, Secretary, and CCO of Pride International's spinoff, Seahawk Drilling and was later recruited to Lufkin Industries as V.P., General Counsel, Secretary, and CCO.
Serving as Lufkin's youngest executive officer in the company's 111-year history, Cestero developed the global legal function, helped lead five international acquisitions, and later helped lead the negotiations for what would become the eventual acquisition of the company by GE Oil & Gas.
He will report directly to Gary Luquette, Frank's International's President and CEO.
