SUGAR LAND, Texas -- Wireless Seismic has announced the sale and delivery of its RT System 2 seismic data acquisition system to the Chinese seismic contractor, SINOPEC Geophysical Corporation (SGC), following extensive system trials in China. SGC combines a number of its former provincial geophysical companies and operates domestically in China and internationally in Asia, South America, the Middle East and Africa.

“We are very impressed by the system’s ability to record data in real time without the use of cables, and as a result, we are pleased to purchase our first RT System 2,” stated Mr. Sui Rongliang, V.P. of SGC. “We operate in tough environments worldwide and believe the system can deliver higher productivity, greater efficiency, and significant HSE gains. We have already proposed RT System 2 to several of our international clients for seismic surveys, and we look forward to working closely with Wireless Seismic to make these projects a success.”

“We are delighted that SGC, one of the largest seismic contractors in the world, has decided to purchase its first RT System 2, which marks a significant milestone in our China strategy,” said Mick Lambert, Wireless Seismic's president and CEO. “SGC’s purchasing decision was made following extensive field testing in difficult and varied field conditions in China. Wireless Seismic successfully demonstrated the system working with minimal disturbance in agricultural areas and acquired data in real time across a major tributary of the Yangtze River using standard RT System 2 equipment.”
