Ikon Science launches RokDoc 6.3
LONDON -- Ikon Science has released the latest version of its flagship RokDoc platform: version 6.3. This release includes new modules, improvements and enhanced features, new science, technologies and usability across the platform and all the modules of RokDoc.
Improving the efficiency with which geoscientists and engineers can predict high value and safe outcomes from complex subsurface reservoir data is the most critical objective that Ikon Science addresses. RokDoc 6.3 takes a great step forward for the industry in this challenging and evolving mission.
Feedback from the company’s growing global multidisciplinary user base is the main factor in defining the priorities for each major release, and this has been particularly true for version 6.3. As the platform is put to work within numerous asset teams in addition to the product’s traditional user community of specialized and expert users, improvements to the user experience and a broader set of tools ensure an easy flow of data and results have become high priorities alongside the continued investment in advanced science and technology.
“Our investments in agile development and project management tools and processes along with a renewed focus on the core strengths of the RokDoc platform are paying great dividends in terms of efficiency, productivity and quality assurance,” said Dr. Denis Saussus, CTO of Ikon Science. “The enhancements in RokDoc 6.3 continue the Ikon mission of delivering a geoprediction platform that supports and integrates industry-leading technologies and workflows. RokDoc 6.3 handles larger data sets and integrates more complex data types including, multi-component seismic data, image logs and data from suprahorizontal wells.”
“The new Ji-Fi version released with RokDoc 6.3 adds significant features, notably new QC tools, to further enhance our breakthrough reservoir characterization solution,” said Kester Waters, V.P. of Global QI. “This further strengthens the remarkable uncertainty quantification tools offered by Ji-Fi.”
