NC JSC QazaqGaz (QazaqGaz) and Chevron Corporation, through its subsidiary Chevron Munaigas Inc., have signed a cooperation agreement which will entail potential geological exploration at the Zhalibek site in the Aktobe region, near the Zhanazhol and Urikhtau fields.

The final phase of TCO’s expansion project, FGP, is on track to conclude in the first half of 2025. This will enable TCO to expand Tengiz crude oil production by an incremental 12 MMtpa (260,000 bpd).

The expansion of the Tengizchevroil venture, known as the Future Growth Project, has delayed its full startup into the second quarter of next year. The project has gone well beyond its initial budget of $37 billion and the completion date had already been rescheduled twice from the original plan of mid-2022.
