The Kitabu prospect is a stratigraphic trap located four km to the north of the Shell-operated producing South Furious 30 oil field with target reservoirs in onlapping turbidite sandstones of the same Miocene sequence.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Lundin Petroleum has finished drilling at the Gobi prospect in the Gurita PSC, Natuna Sea, Indonesia. The well was dry. The Gobi-1 wildcat exploration well was drilled to a final depth of 2,373 m below mean sea level (MSL) using the Hakuryu-11 drilling rig.

BEIJING (Bloomberg) -- China reduced oil imports from Saudi Arabia even as the world’s largest crude exporter cuts prices to lure Asian customers amid intensifying competition from Colombia to Oman. Oil deliveries from Saudi Arabia fell 2.7% to 4.74 million metric tons last month from a year earlier, according to data released today by the General Administration of Customs in Beijing. Shipments from Colombia surged 389.6%, while Russian deliveries increased by 56.8%.

SAN RAMON, California (Bloomberg) -- Chevron Corp. is delaying developing a second phase of a deepsea natural gas project off Indonesia’s Borneo island due to start in 2019. The final investment decision for Gendalo-Gehem won’t be taken this year, a Chevron spokesman said in an emailed statement Oct. 15. The San Ramon, California-based company has yet to submit a revised development plan for it, Zudaldi Rafdi, a spokesman at SKK Migas, Indonesia’s upstream oil regulator, said in a phone interview Oct. 15.
