SINGAPORE -- Keppel FELS Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine, has secured a contract from Gulf Drilling International (GDI) of Qatar to build a repeat high-specification KFELS B Class jackup rig worth $227 million. As part of the contract, GDI has options for two more KFELS B Class rigs for deliveries in 2017.

Eight-point MacGregor mooring systems, with a 150-tonne line pull/270-tonne brake holding capacity, tugger winches and capstans have been specified for two new 500-men accommodation work barges being built at the yard.

The offshore terminal has to process 1 Bcfgd and have a storage capacity of 330,000 m3 of LNG onshore and same capacity offshore to cater the energy need of the State of the Karnataka, on the western coast of India.

TOKYO, Japan -- Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) and BP Singapore (BPS) have reported the conclusion of a sale and purchase agreement for LNG. Under the agreement, Tepco will purchase up to 1.20 MMtpa of LNG over 17 years from BPS, starting in April 2017.
